I am a geographer who designs games and interactive narrative experiences.
In February, I was narrative designer and writer on the game Interment, which won the Grand Prize at the Bristol Games Hub Global Game Jam 2023.
I recently completed a practice-based PhD exploring how people engage with place through location-based games. This involved developing three games in East Kent, UK, using media as varied as QR codes, audiowalks and the what3words app. The latter led to the publishing of my 2021 paper on story mapping in location-based games.
I have also worked with several award-winning interactive arts and immersive media studios as a narrative designer, writer and game design consultant, including Gideon Reeling, Blast Theory and Picture This Productions.
